This great day out combines morning coffee, a guided tour and lunch in Bradford followed by an afternoon at the Bath Christmas Market. |

Come and meet the Guide in Bradford at 10-30/10-45am for morning refreshments included in the tour fee at an attractive hotel pub on the riverside. Bradford shares the same honey-coloured limestone and the elegant traces of Bath, its more famous neighbour. Historically a 'broad ford' across the Avon, the original Iron-Age settlement was expanded first by the Romans and later by the Saxons who gave Bradford its greatest treasure in the 11th century - St. Lawrence's Church. To stand in the tall, narrow stone built nave and admire the two flying angels set high on the wall above is an unforgettable experience. We'll also show you the famous and ancient stone bridge with town lock up supported by the 13th century arches.
Back to the pub for a tasty carvery lunch (a vegetarian option is available). The main course is included in the tour fee, individuals can choose and pay for drinks and desserts on the day.
After lunch we drive into Bath, less than 10 miles away, approaching by way of an entertaining panoramic tour. Each year the beautiful area between Bath Abbey and the Roman Baths is transformed into a Christmas shopper's haven - the Bath Christmas Market. Over 100 traditional wooden chalets adorn the streets; each one offering unique, handmade and unusual gifts, decorations and food items - everything you will need for the perfect Christmas celebration. Shop through the entire afternoon or dedicate an hour to the market and opt to meet up with the Guide for a short but illuminating walking tour culminating in a break to buy hot drinks before heading home at 4-45pm.
Comfortable walking for all but the most disabled, wheelchair users who are able to board a standard coach with help will manage very well on this day.
